By admin | Nov 22, 2008

The people at Mega What TV have done a quick first look at the LG Prada 2. The original Prada was notorious for its slow interface, a problem that seems more or less fixed now. Also new is the slide-out keyboard, like on the HTC Touch Pro. A very unique accessory for it is a [...]

iPhone Bluethooth Keyboard

By admin | Nov 8, 2008

One of the most often heard complaints about the iPhone is the fact that it doesn’t have a keyboard, and the on-screen keyboard is quite slow to use. If you want to use actual keys, this is something for you. It’s a Bluethooth querty keyboard with a built-in phone holder for the iPhone. I wonder [...]

Nokia’s latest slider smartphone, the Nokia N96, really has everything you could possibly put in a phone this compact. It’s a quad band phone (so you can use it anywhere in the world) with support for EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA. Further wireless network support is provided by Wifi (using the 802.11b/g protocal) and Bluethooth 2.0.

By admin | Oct 10, 2008

BlackBerry is about to launch it’s first touch screen phone, wich seems the thing to have now on high end smartphones. Apple kickstarted it with the iPhone, and now more and more manufacturers are adopting them. Problem is, though, that the keypad is usually sacrificed for a larger screen. Most such phones have an on-screen [...]

HTC Touch Pro Video

By admin | Sep 20, 2008

I talked about the HTC Touch Pro yesterday, and now here’s a video review of it. It’s basically the HTC Touch Diamond with a slide-out keyboard and micro sd slot. As you can see in the video, the keyboard makes it a lot fatter. Otherwise, the functionality is more or less the same.

Use an iPhone as a modem

By admin | Jul 22, 2008

When the iPhone 3G was announced, everyone hoped it would be possible to connect it to a laptop and use it as a 3G modem. Would have been nice, except it’s not possible, at least out of the box. Thanks to some creative hackers, you can make it work, however! It requires you to hack [...]

By admin | Jul 11, 2008

Ars Technica has taken a first look at the upcoming OpenMoko phone, a Linux-based open source smartphone. The conclusion? It offers lots of possibilities and it’s very flexible, but also very confusing.
Like Linux for desktop computers, the OpenMoko operating system offers different operating environments, called “software stacks”, each one of wich offers different possibilities. Because [...]

Half the price? Yeah right!

By admin | Jul 7, 2008

When Apple announced the new iPhone, they claimed it was twice as fast at half the price. Sound almost too good to be true, and as usual, it is. AT&T announced the pricing plan and as you could expect, it’s expensive as hell! Plans start at $69.99 for the most basic one. But that’s not [...]
