LG Wristphone

By admin | Dec 30, 2008

File this under “Who the hell is gonna buy this?”. It’s a 3G phone built into a watch. It has a 1.43″ touchscreen (try to type a text message on a virtual keyboard that size!) and can be used to make video calls. There’s no word about battery life, but I can’t imagine such a [...]

Android Powered G2 On The Way?

By admin | Dec 22, 2008

It’s not been that long since the G1 was released and already rumours about the G2 are floating around. Apparently, the G1 still has too many flaws (it’s described as a “geek phone”, probably meaning it needs lots of tweaking and hacking to get the most out of it). One of the most remarkable rumours [...]

LG Prada 2 First Look

By admin | Nov 22, 2008

The people at Mega What TV have done a quick first look at the LG Prada 2. The original Prada was notorious for its slow interface, a problem that seems more or less fixed now. Also new is the slide-out keyboard, like on the HTC Touch Pro. A very unique accessory for it is a [...]

Asus P565

By admin | Nov 17, 2008

Asus’ new smartphone, the P565, seems like a worthy competitor to the HTC Touch Diamond. Here are some specs:

800 mHz CPU
2.8″ VGA display
HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE support
256 Mb of storage
128 Mb of RAM
Wifi and Bluethooth
3 megapixel camera with autofocus
SDHC slot

The display is the same size and resolution as the Touch Diamond, but it’s got a [...]

iPhone Bluethooth Keyboard

By admin | Nov 8, 2008

One of the most often heard complaints about the iPhone is the fact that it doesn’t have a keyboard, and the on-screen keyboard is quite slow to use. If you want to use actual keys, this is something for you. It’s a Bluethooth querty keyboard with a built-in phone holder for the iPhone. I wonder [...]

Leaked LG Prada II Specs

By admin | Oct 13, 2008

The successor to LG’s flagship smartphone, the LG Prada, is almost upon us. Here are some of the specs the Prada II will have:

Quad-band HSDPA phone
240×400 pixel touchscreen
5 megapixel camera
Wifi and Bluethooth
Full HTML browser
FM radio
Up to 8 gigabyte of storage
Slide-out querty keyboard

A full querty keyboard seems to be on the way of becoming standard on [...]

Nokia N96

By admin | Oct 11, 2008

Nokia’s latest slider smartphone, the Nokia N96, really has everything you could possibly put in a phone this compact. It’s a quad band phone (so you can use it anywhere in the world) with support for EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA. Further wireless network support is provided by Wifi (using the 802.11b/g protocal) and Bluethooth 2.0.
The [...]

BlackBerry Storm with keyboard?

By admin | Oct 10, 2008

BlackBerry is about to launch it’s first touch screen phone, wich seems the thing to have now on high end smartphones. Apple kickstarted it with the iPhone, and now more and more manufacturers are adopting them. Problem is, though, that the keypad is usually sacrificed for a larger screen. Most such phones have an on-screen [...]

HTC Touch Pro Video

By admin | Sep 20, 2008

I talked about the HTC Touch Pro yesterday, and now here’s a video review of it. It’s basically the HTC Touch Diamond with a slide-out keyboard and micro sd slot. As you can see in the video, the keyboard makes it a lot fatter. Otherwise, the functionality is more or less the same.
