Announcement

By admin | Feb 14, 2009

This is the last post. A few weeks ago I decided to take a short break to figure out what I was gonna do with this piece of junk (wich still only attracts about 20-30 visitors a day) and I decided I’m gonna stop wasting my time. The archive will remain online, but don’t expect [...]

Short break

By admin | Jan 28, 2009

The Gadget Vault is on a short break. We’ll be back on February 4th.

USB Missile Tank

By admin | Jan 26, 2009

The original USB Missile Launcher already made office warfare a lot more exciting. Later version added cameras and wireless connections, but this one is a true war machine. Rather than a static missile launcher, this is a mobile radio-controlled machine of foam dart destruction. Okay, so it may not be that destructive, so you’ll have [...]

Quicksnap Icecube Tray

By admin | Jan 25, 2009

Sometimes you see things that make you think “Why hasn’t anyone thought of that before?”. Behold the Quicksnap Icecube Tray! This tray allows you to take one icecube at a time, instead of randomly popping them out unintentionally (and making them fly all around the place). Unfortunately this is only a concept for now, but [...]

Phantom Chess

By admin | Jan 24, 2009

If you like to play chess but can’t find anyone to compete against, a chess computer comes in handy. This particular one is a true chess robot. Cheaper computers tell you how to move a piece when it’s their turn, but this one uses electromagnets placed under the board to move the pieces. It even [...]

Zombie Fluxx

By admin | Jan 23, 2009

One day, the dead will rise and start cracking open our skulls and feast on the goo inside. This card game will prepare you for that unholy moment. The game contains 100 cards, and each player is dealth 3 cards at the beginning. After that, players draw a card and play one each turn. Cards [...]

Portal Gun Replica

By admin | Jan 21, 2009

With the success of Portal, this doesn’t really come as a surprise. Some guy made this for his girlfriend, who is a cosplayer and made an Aperture Labs test subject costume. Unfortunately, no pictures of the girlfriend in her costume have been published. The gun looks amazing, however. It even includes light effects! All he [...]

USB Combination Lock

By admin | Jan 20, 2009

Want to keep prying eyes out of your USB drive? Then I don’t recommend this, even though it looks secure. It’s a combination lock you can put on a USB drive, blocking the connector so it can’t be plugged in. Why isn’t this secure? It has three 10-digit dials, wich means only 1000 possible combinations. [...]

Apple Keyboard Concept

By admin | Jan 19, 2009

You won’t find this keyboard in stores any time soon (probably). The numeric keypad has been replaced by an iPhone dock. It also has a few programmable OLED keys. However, unless it comes with software that lets you use the iPhone as a numeric keypad (or any other type of keypad you can imagine), I [...]

Carbonate Any Drink

By admin | Jan 18, 2009

The idea behind this is simple enough. Mix baking soda and vinegar and they will react and produce carbon dioxide. All you have to do then is bubble it through your drink and it will be carbonated. Sounds simple enough, right? This contraption makes the bubbling-through-your-drink a bit easier. Carbonated coffee, anyone?
