My first thought about this was: “What the hell? These things still exist?”. Apparently, they do. And apparently, people still use them. I don’t think there are that much ISP’s anymore that offer dialup access (uhhh… just typing it makes me shiver). So if all you have is a phone line and rather face the horrors of dialup access than no access at all, this is a useful thing. Otherwise, this is an evil piece of obsolete technology that deserves to go to tech hell.
