Apple just keeps on screwing its cult members, excuse me, users! First, they create a hype around the iPhone (wich isn’t that difficult, they could make a hype out of anything by putting an “i” in front of it), knowing very well that fanboys anywhere will camp in front of stores to get their new shiny toy the minute it becomes available at a ridiculous price. I don’t see people sleeping on the sidewalk for the new Nokia or Samsung phone, but hey, they don’t have Steve Jobs.
Then, not long after the launch, they cut the price by $200, wich made a lot of people pissed! Okay, you got a $100 coupon, so you could buy one of their other expensive gadgets. The first reviews of the iPhone weren’t enthousiastic at all. Features that other, cheaper phones had were missing, such as the ability to send MMS messages and using MP3 files as ringtones. The most prominent missing feature, however, was 3G.
The latest rumour now is that a 3G enabled iPhone will be available within two months. So once again, Apple fanboys will be lined up in front of stores to pay big bucks for a gadget they already have, plus the feature it should have had to begin with! I wonder what the next feature will be, for when they want to screw people again in, let’s say, six months. The iPhone Nano?
